The Black Mountain Haunted House, home

Our story

We love making things people can walk through.

There is something special about watching someone step through the entrance and completely forget where they are standing. Every year we design and build an entirely new haunted house from the ground up, hosted at Hillcrest Farm Market in Kelowna. New themes, new scares, and thousands of little details that make it feel like another world. We love taking the most unexpected ideas and making them terrifying, because with enough creativity, anything can be made scary.

Much bigger than a haunted house

A crew of neighbours.

What started as a small community project has grown into a full walk through attraction built almost entirely by volunteers. Months of planning, late nights, sawdust, hot glue, paint, and a lot of problem solving, and every wall, prop, and scare built with heart. Many of our volunteers have been with us since the very beginning, and coming back each fall is a tradition of its own.

Giving back is the whole point

Over $30,000 for mental health.

Each year we set a fundraising goal and donate to the KGH Foundation in support of the McNair Mental Health Unit. Knowing our haunted house makes a real difference in our community is what keeps us coming back year after year. If you leave with a smile, a few good stories, and the knowledge that you helped, then we did exactly what we set out to do.
